Drawings

Here is a selection of some of my drawings and sketches.
I love the rawness and honesty of drawing. It can be more expressive through the use of different mark-making materials such as uneven-shaped charcoal found in the bush, hard conte sticks and drawing with feathers. In a way it's much more satisfying for an artist when you have completed a drawing, especially when you have used monochromatic tones. The mistakes and parts of the drawing that aren't working stick out, making you work harder to achieve a successful work.
